  • Do you want to move faster?
  • Do you want to move more freely?

What is Biomechanics coaching?

Biomechanics coaching is the non-invasive practice of getting you moving more freely, more efficiently and without aches or pains. It is the building block for all fitness and wellness programs. If you are already exercising it could well be the missing link in your program.
Biomechanics is suitable for all regardless of age, sex or occupation.

Why is it important?

Think of a house built with poor foundations. Over time, through the weight of the walls and the roof, the foundations can subside causing problems throughout the house. Your body can work in a similar way. You might not be experiencing any pain right now - but then you probably don't know if you have one leg longer than the other.

Your body could be trying its upmost to compensate for various discrepancies, but over time, if left unaided, those compensations they can turn into back pain, or any other kind of ache or pain, and injury.

How does it work?

A full body screen is conducted comprising of assessments to:

  • Shoulders
  • Spine
  • Pelvis
  • Knees
  • Ankles
  • Nerves

Once we have collected the results we will devise a rehabilitation schedule for you to perform daily that will dove tale with your exercise program. The exercises are not difficult nor do they require any equipment - just your time and dedication!

I just want to start training

You may not have any aches or pains and we understand that you might just want to get on with the training. However, after commencing your training your trainer may refer you for a biomechanical assessment if he or she notices

  • Asymmetry in your posture
  • Awkwardness in your weightlifting
  • Right or left dominance
  • Excessive stiffness post exercise
  • Limited ranges of movement

This is because we want you to get the most from your training - not an injury!

Biomechanics works extremely well with sports massage and in some cases both skills will be used in conjunction with one another to help you move more freely.
